Agave Sourcing
The journey of Emerald Spear begins in the mineral-rich highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, where our 100% Blue Weber Agave thrives in the optimal growing conditions of high altitude and crisp mountain air. Our partnership with multi-generational agave farmers at NOM1414 ensures access to the finest plants, each carefully tended for 7-8 years before harvest.
Skilled jimadores, whose expertise has been passed down through generations, hand-harvest each agave plant using traditional tools and techniques. This manual process requires precision and experience to select only the highest quality piñas, ensuring every bottle of Emerald Spear starts with exceptional raw materials.
Our commitment to quality begins in these fields, where each agave plant is carefully evaluated before being transported to our distillery. The high-altitude growing conditions create agave with complex flavor profiles and higher sugar content, contributing to our tequila's distinctive character.
Unique Production Techniques
